| Protobothrops flavimaculata is unknown - as far as i know there has never been such a combination of genus and species name. Prothobotrops flavoviridis is known. I think this snake is a outstanding coloured specimen of Parias flavomaculatus.

| Hi
A german friend of mine was on biological study for abt 2 month at the Philippines and because he is only into arachnids he sent me pictures of the snakes he saw, the color and pattern of the P. flavomaculatus was the same as from this one, I don't know much abt differences in color and pattern with this species but maybe theyre from the same range.
Greetings | |

Thank's both gender preffer rodents. the only difference could be different specimen from different habitats. we found P.flavomaculatus almost everywhere from primary mountain forrests to lowland, semi agricultural habitats and swamp areas. i do believe, that animals, living in and around swamp areas do preffer frogs, but all other specimen, especially in captivity take rodents. frogs, geckos and other lizzards are preffered by juvenile animals. Parias flavomaculatus is also mostly found on the forrest floor, very seldom in tree's or bushes.... i would not even call the semiaboreal for that matter.. cheers Mario | |
