| hello Gavin !
My female laid 8 eggs three weeks ago. Five of them are still well so I can hope for offspring. Breeding colletti normally should not be problematic if you keep them cooler a few month.

| Beautiful Animal Gavin. I tried to purchase some from Hank Molt. Maybe some of you know him. I was told to be careful dealing with him. I would look at his site a few years ago, and call him about a snake, and he'd tell me "Sorry, I just sold it, but I have ..." and he'd try to sell me something I didn't want. He never seemed to have what he advertised, and he always seemed to advertise what other people were selling, but at much higher prices. | |

you are right, he is advertising Crocodylus mindorensis since years, he had never even seen one until now... same with other species, like Parias mcgregori, it seemed to be their kind of business - get you interested in somethings and sale you something different instead.. cheers Mario

| I know Hank Molt by reputation only and that seems to be his trade mark! Advertises animals he does not have!! I believe no one wants anything to do with him now as everyone knows his story! @ Mario, you must come and visit! I have all sorts of things! @ Mario Strasser I really hope you hatch the eggs!! What temp did you cool yours to and how big are your adults?? Mine are only about a metre and I have had them a long time! They just never seem to grow after they reached that size! | |

In the cooler times I keep them on temperatueres between 19-23.Cause I am not very good in hatching eggs I gave the clutch to Frank Weinsheimer to hatch them for me ! I hope he does ! I´ll try to take some nice photos of my animals the next days !

| Hi Mario Thanks for the information! Mine actually get cooler than that in winter but still no luck! I am wondering why mine stayed small. They never got bigger than about 1.2 meters! I will pair them up again this year and hope something happens! Cheers Gavin | |

| as long you dont collect your specimen directly in the wilderness you never know where exact they came from! i remember 3 years ago, i received a bunch confiscated animals... one parias flavomaculatus was 155cm long, just a monster - what i mean is, maybe Mario got some from a small population which are known to be bigger... most i have heard about are smaller, around 100cm only... but you never know...

| Hi Mario,
that might explain it... i got one huge Burmese Python here and i always believe she is 7Meter, plus- thats what i keep telling the visitors as well... last time we measured here, she is only 6 Meter, still big - but still one meter shorter as i would think she was...
cheers Mario | |

| That makes me happier to know most are smaller as I have seen pictures and have heard of some over 1.8 metres! I was thinking maybe I had dwarfs!!! I will pair them up again this season and maybe I will be lucky! A 1.55 meter Parias Flavomaculatus must be really impressive! Cheers Gavin | |

| Hi Andrew ! Hmm that might be possible ...........Like all Pseudechis they feed without an end !! Yes they chase nearly like cobras. Maybe a little bit more crazier. When feeding Pseudechis you should take a lot of care !!! | |

| Yes beautifull indeed !! Of course I don´t freehandle all venomous snakes especially no Viperidae or Crotalidae. But with P.colletti or also porphyriacus I´ve never had problems with free handling them but a lot of problems with the hook.......so I choose the easy way Of course I would never say you can do that with every colletti or porphyriacus or austrelaps. You should decide that that for yourself what is possible or not ! cheers, Mario | |
