| I'm currently working with 2.4 of these beauties and thought I'd share photos of this striped/abberant female. Her sibling brother is also abberant but doesn't have the pronounced stripe. Another pose. Have any of you seen aggression during breeding? My largest female recently bit and killed a similar sized male shortly after they were introduced. Jim | |

| Thanks everyone! I really like the personality of these guys. They are extremely curious and remind somewhat of the of the Western Green Mambas I kept back in the 90s. | |

| Huh, i love this female man... i am always more than moved by what beauty the nature can produce.... while introducing males to females, we had some accidents too. somehow, always the male is the one suffering (ah, i remember, of corse it is the male) .. well, i think this bites is not caused by defensive or aggressive behavior. i rather like to believe, this accidents are caused by feeding-bites? well, today we introduce (all species, cobras, vipers, rattlers etc.) about 2 days after they been feed with good sized meals.. somehow, since then, we dont loose any males no more... cheers M | |

| Mario - Thanks man! Yes, seems it's always the poor male that risks his life in these situations. I believe it was a feeding response, too. The female is an extremely aggressive feeder. I guess I'll super feed the females next year before introducing the remaining 2 males.
Derek - You KNOW I'm working on it.
Dave - Thanks for the compliment! | |
