Dear Venomland Members and Friends, Venomland is a little more than 6 years old now and by far the biggest Hot Snake community on the Planet! We want to thank all of you who made Venomland the leading Board. We are also very thankful to our Moderators and Admins for years of hard work. Now, it is time to move on. I have been thinking how to proceed and what to do with our beloved board as we reach a size, that we need to make drastic changes to secure the future of our community. As of now, Venomland is hosted by a free (well mostly free) hosting service. That was good for the first years but now we need to find a new way to run our forum. I have spend hundreds of Dollars over the years to keep Venomland up and running, and i have done so with pleasure. Now, we need your help! We need to come up with several thousand dollars for our Venomland 2.0 project, which i frankly cant pay for any longer by myself. So Venomland is asking his Friends and Members for the first time for their financial Support. Please help to keep Venomland alive, and let us move on to a new, better Portal in the Future! Every Dollar is helping us a great deal. I know, its hard times for everyone, but please spare a few Dollar for our community. If you have only 10 Dollars to spare, we are grateful, if it is more, it would be awesome. We are planning to develop a very new Venomland, with real community functions, a forum like you are already loving it and a real (online) Hot Snake Magazin. Also, there will be download areas for scientific papers, Wallpapers and more. Again folks, we can only do that if you all help. Please send me a Private Message if you want to keep Venomland alive, i will provide you with the details on how to donate Money. For now, we can accept money from creditcards via skrill (please google it, its a free service - account-details will be forwarded to you) and paypal. All the best, and for a (hopefully) nice future of our Board. Mario

Since I had the photo tent out recently, I took a few shots of our chlorechis. First photo is the female.

This is our male.

They're together now but I haven't seen any breeding activity. Our first minor rainy season is still a few weeks away so hopefully they'll get busy then.

Great pictures! I think females carry there colors to levels the male can't when it comes to chloroechis. Both my females look so much more vibrant than my male and more photogenic. She's a beauty man. Congrats on a great pair. cheers

TJ, do you have a Dodo bird and a piece of slate for it to chisel on inside of your camera? Looks like it's time for an upgrade! Laughing You've got too many nice snakes not to be showing them off better.

Jim, your photos are stunning!

Send me your address and I'll mail you a stimulus package check so you can go buy some double D's. I know the economy is hurting everyone. Wink

Finances are not a problem. Time is my problem. It's a two hour drive from my home to my resturant. Work is my life. These are my release. My time is precious and in short supply these days. It's like my grandfather always said " Work as hard as you can son for the first fifty! And last fifty or so will be smooth sailing." I'm ahead of schedule, and am very proud of what I have to show for it.

P.S.- Took my first roll of test shots last night to get familiar with the camera. Will post asap.

Sorry Christian, I just now saw your post. The female is captive born and the male is wild caught but I'm not sure where he came from. Derek bought him for me at an expo on the east coast so he might remember.

Dang, Jim, why did I hook you up with chlorechis and not get any for myself?!! That wasn't very bright of me. Sorry Christian, but the male was actually picked up from the Hamburg Pennsylvania show by a friend, so I was not present during the purchase and don't know what country they came from. If that's also the east coast female, then she's from Virginia. Laughing

No worries Jim Smile

I guess I've said it before, but I'm really interested in knowing which countries everybody's chlorechis are from. I only have two and they can be traced back to Ghana.
Hopefully I could get some more in the future which would be from other locations.

Must admit that I had no idea that their range includes Virginia too! Very Happy
That is weird Derek, how come you didn't get any for yourself?
