Dear Venomland Members and Friends, Venomland is a little more than 6 years old now and by far the biggest Hot Snake community on the Planet! We want to thank all of you who made Venomland the leading Board. We are also very thankful to our Moderators and Admins for years of hard work. Now, it is time to move on. I have been thinking how to proceed and what to do with our beloved board as we reach a size, that we need to make drastic changes to secure the future of our community. As of now, Venomland is hosted by a free (well mostly free) hosting service. That was good for the first years but now we need to find a new way to run our forum. I have spend hundreds of Dollars over the years to keep Venomland up and running, and i have done so with pleasure. Now, we need your help! We need to come up with several thousand dollars for our Venomland 2.0 project, which i frankly cant pay for any longer by myself. So Venomland is asking his Friends and Members for the first time for their financial Support. Please help to keep Venomland alive, and let us move on to a new, better Portal in the Future! Every Dollar is helping us a great deal. I know, its hard times for everyone, but please spare a few Dollar for our community. If you have only 10 Dollars to spare, we are grateful, if it is more, it would be awesome. We are planning to develop a very new Venomland, with real community functions, a forum like you are already loving it and a real (online) Hot Snake Magazin. Also, there will be download areas for scientific papers, Wallpapers and more. Again folks, we can only do that if you all help. Hello,

I couldn't hope for it as I had to have an surgery operation on the female because of a necrosis due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa (post under the section about healthcare).

The operation was made about two and a half month ago, and with the stress of it, I thought I wouldn't have any chance to have a clutch this year... But there it is! 16 eggs, with about 13 who seem to be allright!!!

I'm very proud of it as those cobras are old WC imports who arrived as adults about 8 years ago in Switzerland. So I hoped to get them mated when I bought them to insure the linea.

I like the legionis, and I was thinking about getting some more, even though it is not a valid species anymore, but the only ones I see for sale here are $675 a pair, down from $750, and they don't even look that nice. For a while, several people were breeding these in the USA. Mitch (Diamond Reptile Breeders) had some hatchlings for sale and couldn't sell them. I had an adult pair at the time, so I didn't feel the need to buy any. Then when they stopped being a separate specie, my sold my pair. Now I wish I had them back.

I may end up coming to Hamm in the fall. I can bring some sumatrana and siamensis, and maybe bring home some stuff I don't have.

I'll search for some other pictures. Both of them are nearly two meters long. They were elder WC imports. They are for 8 years in Switzerland now.

The Naja haje legionis are, as I could see, not often bred in captivity, even if it isn't complicated. THere are some over here, in Germany and in Belgium as I could see, but not much captive borns. I'm very proud to have this pair, as I think it is a beautiful specie.
