| Here are my 1.1 Bitis nasicornis. They are FZ´12/08 from Ghana. Here is the male already in his cave. And here the female This is the first time i am keeping Bitis, but i was looking for a big bottom-dwelling snake for display. I think, this is one of the most beatifull Bitis. Regards, Karsten | |

| Hello friends.
Here an short update. Both nasicornis are doing well. They are eating every time without problems. I keep them still separate and spray ones a week warm water into the terrarium. It looks, that they both like it that way. Instead of moisty, dry. Has anyone else experience with keeping nasicornis dry ?

| Hi Karsten, You may want to read this thread, I mentioned an experiment regarding humidity that I carried out years ago. I'm still looking in to this and have some nasicornis dry and others humid Cheers Al

| Hi Karsten. Im no nasicornis expert but I also keep mine dry with access to drinking water and soak once a week. Im always weary of excessive humidity. Perhaps get Al Hyde's opinion too. I would love to obtain West African nasics such as those. Good luck. Marthinus | |

| Much appreciated coming from you. I hate namedropping but without Gavin's help it wouldnt have happened @ Karsten I have yet to see such nice West African nasicornis here. Most are in really bad shape when they get to SA so maybe my luck will turn in future. Good luck. | |

| @Marthinus:
It was also a little wonder for me, to get such healthy nasicornis. Because normaly you find them in a very bad shape. But it seems, you just have to wait long enough. I wish you good luck to find some.
@ Radovan: Thank you. Maybe our snakes are from the same farm? Brothers and sister. :-) Do you have only the male ? I really like the coloration of these nasicornis. Sometimes you can find offers in the I-net, but most of them are really ugly.
So, good luck to everybody and keep you updated. | |

| So, they are now 2 years old. Still doing very good. They are growing and growing and growing. Just awesome animals. The female is very quiet. I can do work inside the terrarium without having her puff, but he is more vervous. I just enter the the room and he says hello with a puff. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] | |
