| what i most like on this species, named after my dear friend gernot, is the fact, that the sexual dimorphism is just as big as it can be! if you dont know nothing about them, it seems you look at two males from different species. another fact, they are about the most impressive display Trimis you can find on the market. beautiful picture again Jan!
congratulation on the offspring. captive breeding is just such an important part of conservation, as it keeps the pressure of collecting wild animals from their natural populations.
cheers Mario | |

cheers Mario These little guys are even F3 out of F2 parents whom i bought 5 years ago. The way i see it is that offspring is the reward for all the efforts you put in building enclosures, giving them a natual look, real plants, taking care of the animals, etc. etc. I mean buying animals is easy, offspring is a different ball game Jan

| Yes, that is true Jan.
Most of the people think, you only need to put two snakes in one cage and then they´re shocked that this is not everything.

| My lone ranger! He is captive bred, but has never been bred. They are hard to come by in the states. |

| A wonderful species indeed and like TJ said, a not too common one here in the US. I'm lucky enough to add this species to my collection and look forward to picking up my pair in 2 weeks. | |

With only a limited number available, I would rather hold off until mine are in hand before I disclose the source.
