| HI!
What subspecies is it? I had some mexicanum a while ago. They were more black (dark brown) with a very light beige colouration.

| HI! There is an very detailed article of Andreas Hohmeister, who cept this snakes a long time. I have uploaded it on my Server, though you can read and/or download it. (but in german) Here is the link: http://www.metro-reptiles.de/pub/Hohmeister,A.pdf At chapter "breeding" he write:There is a time of less activity in november and december - real mating time is january and february. But sometimes you can see them mating in december, too. Period of pregnancy is between 6 and 7 month. The "hatchlings" are about 18 and 20 cm long and shed a few hours after birth and avarage weight is 18 gramms. Some days after they will mostly feed by themselfes - he feeds every 10 days 1 - 2 pinkies. They will grow up very fast and can reach a lengh of 40 cm and 300 gramms in the first two years. First breeding with this "babies" after 30 month. ...hope i can help with this... Regards, Rene | |

| In Winter temperatures at 20 - 22°C at day, and at night down to 15°C min. Lighting from 14 hours down to 7 - 9 hours without local heating.
In Sommer you have 22 - 26°C...
You dont have to separate the snakes or something. But you can raise the humidity in winter. Here is a humidity-map which shows you the "at the moment" humitity in Costa Rica.

| Stunning animals. They've been on my wish list for way too long. I downloaded that article and how I wish there was an English version available. Seems like a good read as I can follow some of the German. | |
