Dear Venomland Members and Friends, Venomland is a little more than 6 years old now and by far the biggest Hot Snake community on the Planet! We want to thank all of you who made Venomland the leading Board. We are also very thankful to our Moderators and Admins for years of hard work. Now, it is time to move on. I have been thinking how to proceed and what to do with our beloved board as we reach a size, that we need to make drastic changes to secure the future of our community. As of now, Venomland is hosted by a free (well mostly free) hosting service. That was good for the first years but now we need to find a new way to run our forum. I have spend hundreds of Dollars over the years to keep Venomland up and running, and i have done so with pleasure. Now, we need your help! We need to come up with several thousand dollars for our Venomland 2.0 project, which i frankly cant pay for any longer by myself. So Venomland is asking his Friends and Members for the first time for their financial Support. Please help to keep Venomland alive, and let us move on to a new, better Portal in the Future! Every Dollar is helping us a great deal. I know, its hard times for everyone, but please spare a few Dollar for our community. If you have only 10 Dollars to spare, we are grateful, if it is more, it would be awesome. We are planning to develop a very new Venomland, with real community functions, a forum like you are already loving it and a real (online) Hot Snake Magazin. Also, there will be download areas for scientific papers, Wallpapers and more. Again folks, we can only do that if you all help. Please send me a Private Message if you want to keep Venomland alive, i will provide you with the details on how to donate Money. For now, we can accept money from creditcards via skrill (please google it, its a free service - account-details will be forwarded to you) and paypal. | Hi guys,
many thanks to Mario for his invitation.
I am working with reptiles since about 35 years, specialized in crocodilians, but also keeping and breeding venomous snakes since decades.
My travels to Asia, Australia and USA also gave me the opportunity to observe many snakes in the wild.
As a member of the IUCN/SSC Crocodile Specialist Group I am just focused on conservation topics.
Nice to be here, I am looking forward for interesting discussions.

you know, my hart is in to venomous reptiles, but our hart have 4 chambers, like our crocodilian friends...
as the General Manager of the Philippine Crocodile Society it is my mayor target, to safe Crocodylus mindorensis, especially as i have the only Mindoro Crocodiles left on Mindoro Island in my Collection! thanks Ralf for being here, i know - you do not like forums at all anymore - we all have our issues thats why, venomland has been developed and therefore i really appreciate your registration...
i am ager to discuss croc issues as well here, if the auditorium dont mind? we do have an "the others" section...
but i do hope so, you will share your experience in venomous snake keeping and biology with us as well, will you?
i am exited my friend, as i can tell you very frankly, we are all here - working on having a serious, professional board, where folks like you and me, interested in conservation can have a place to find together and join a bigger network to achieve what we was looking for...
see, we got folks already from all over the world, well known scientist colleagues and lots of serious working herpetoculturists as well.
VenomLand started already to reach curators from well known zoological facilities in this world, here in asia, there in africa, over there in europe and finally, as well in the americas... i just loved the idea to bring all of my friends here together, share our knowledge, expand our network in order to serve our scaled friend a bit better, more focussed as you wish.
it looks so much like a big group of qualified, interested peoples - itching all for the knowledge, education, conservation and the love for our reptilians, all over the world. i wish to like to express my deepest thank to all of our members here at this place for helping me to reach his targets!
