| I don't think so, Guenter. Just normal care, some luck and a male knowing when to act and when to "run" and hide | |

| I got used to run and hide quickly when Claudia starts with "Hmmm, WE should ..." That always ends with either a) much work for me b) a lot of costs for a new bathroom, a new kitchen, ... c) both | |

| Good job Peter,
I always wondered why they were so hard to breed, but like you say, it may not always be the person's problem. I took photos of my N. naja breeding this year, but no eggs. I'll try again next year. Maybe the male is sterile, maybe the female is sterile, maybe they just bred outside her time. Anyway, good luck with your eggs and hatchlings.

I hope you get a better ratio of good and bad than I did with my N. oxiana eggs. | |

| i find Naja nigricinta and Naja samarensis, although previously thought too nervous for captivity as( spitters )circa 70s and 80s, high quality specimens, that you wont tire of soon and will certainly hold they're value and perhaps even increase in value with supply and demand .
* not that you should buy a reptile as an investment but there is that market . * i dont remember seeing these Najas , ever, except recently, and never certified captive born in The United States of America's herpetological specimen market.
* to all congratulations on your hatchlings !
Regards
Albert.

| Congrats Peter !
Did you had them separated in the enclosures showed at the pics, and then put them together in a more uplighted enclosure and they started to breed ?
Best regards Jimmy | |

| I had'em separated this winter because i didn't want to breed'em. Well, if i'm looking at some of the youngsters i'm glad it didn't work...3 of'em have yellow rings instead of white ones. You can keep'em together year round and they will breed too. | |

| They have been believed to be difficult to breed for many years - meanwhile almost everyone keeping a pair or more is breeding them - and the "magic" has gone.... | |

| I have 4 of these housed together. They are still young and around 1 year old now. Easy to keep and very relaxed. Much more calm then my siamensis. Only time i have to watch them so they won't bite eachother is just afer feeding. Besided that they are very docile..
