| Fantastic pictures, Guenter!
You're increasing my cobras faster than I do by breeding, LOL.

| Those are really neat, Guenter. Can I ask what size lens you used for the first tarantula photo (if it's a trade secret, that is fine...just curious)? I'm thinking about getting a 50mm f/2.8 because I've heard that it is a steal for such a good lens, but I'm not sure how I would use it properly. Most of my photos are of reptiles, but I think I may use it more out in the field. | |

| No secrets at all!
All my studio work (nearly all) is done with the 24-105/4 L IS USM from Canon ond a Canon 5D (full format).
In reptile zoos I use the Sigma 150/2.8 HSM Macro which is a great lens for that - or the Canon 70-200/2.8 L IS USM with extension tubes which is also great.

Some very good pictures, Guenter! I did like the above the most. A really good composition, and some good afterwork.. Second best, if you ask me, is the "Crest to the Summit"..

I'll post this to get opinions - critical ones are also welcome! Cheers, Guenter The "Crest to the Summit", have a good humouristic touch to it, wich I really like. What program do you use to make the pictures? PS?

| Yes, PS CS2. I've bought a license But could also be done in gimp, I guess. I do not use so much special features, just layer masks as the main tool. | |

| These are a lot of fun Guenter! From an artistic standpoint I still like the one that Miqe pointed out the best. This last one with the orange spiked hair is really neat, too, though. Besides the models being pretty hot, they seem like they are fun to work with, as well. I'm still trying to figure out the "Crest to the Summit". It seems to me that the spider is post-summit and I can't figure out how that boob is defying gravity so well! Is it odd for me to turn my head upside down while looking at a photo on the monitor? Thanks so much for sharing, I really like this thread Guenter! | |
