| Thank you, ammodytes should look even better as adult, judging from the parents it should turn bright orange with strong dark markings... We'll see in a couple of years | |

| Female is Krk, and male is high-altitude locality in Montenegro, but I forgot where exactly... Judging from the parents, he should have almost kaznakovi-like pattern in a few years with a thin stripe of bright orange between the very dark sides and the zigzag on the back. Hopefully he'll produce some nice babies when he's a bit bigger | |

| Aha, seems that Montenegro is the place for stunning ammodytes.
I also have 8 different ammodytes from Montenegro and the are also spectacular looking.
The "Krk" animals is also very nice. I should try to get a pair or two ;-)

| Those are quail chicks, but he gets a mixed diet of adult mice, quails and young rats. I know I complicate things, but the snakes aren't complaining Regards, Tomaz | |

| which is good because using mixed diets you keep them interested and you make sure they get all the nutrients and gives them a bit more of flavour to their lives ehhe
by the way that Hierophis is very neat

| This is the complete setup, snakes are housed a pair per terrarium. Dimensions are 40x40x70, and are of my own design and build. I still need to find a better solution for the wires though, as I didn't had all the things needed, but in any way, the lamps are well out of reach of the snakes.

| Interior of the terrariums was made by my girlfriend, so all the praise goes to her, I merely put the vivs together and played with the wiring Here are pics of some other vivs: juvenile ammodytes viv H. viridiflavus (bit small, but the snake is feeling better in this than in its big viv) 1.0 Z. situla viv | |
