| I got myself 2 tiny spiderlings of pancorius magnus, Small species of jumping spider originating from India, Nepal, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam. Adult spiders reach a maximum size of about 12mm (0.47 ") At the moment these little critters are about 3mm (0.12 ") They are very curious and since they're agile jumpers they don't hesitate to jump up a finger to have a look around. Very fun animals to keep and observe, I think... [/quote] | |

| Clever looking ones(;
I do keep quite freshly, Hyllus diadema jumpers. Unfortunaly i dont have camera.
But i must agree with you that these are also most individually and clearly "head full on thoughts" as kind on tiny mammals.
Hard to belive, if anybody hasnt any experience with these.

| They seem to be intelligent indeed and almost mammal-like indeed Toni. If you haven't seen them it's hard to believe. I'm actually affraid of spiders (but love them to), but these cute little fellows don't scare me at all... | |

| What do you feed these guys? I would think even pinhead crickets are too big for them, but spiders arent really scared of taking down prey that are much larger than they are. | |

| Very nice spiders! Especially jumping spiders seems to handle very large prey items with ease so I dont think feeding them are a problem | |

| I feed them little fruit flies... Those are about the same size as the spiders. I'm not home at the moment, but tomorrow I'll upload a new picture of one of them feeding. | |

| As promised; the feeding picture, but before that first a picture of how small these little critters are... Here's one of them inspecting my finger. He's sitting at the finger joint of my right index finger... And here's the feeding picture. | |

| I don't mind their lack of size... And these are still just youngsters, and they should grow quite fast... | |

| I love the jumpers to and specially fell in love with the "peacock jumping spiders", Maratus volans, but those are not kept in captivity for as far as I know. They are native to the south-east of Australia and since it's nearly impossible to get animals from there, I'm afraid I will never see them in real life. | |
