"a very happy day" isn't a meaningful topic title Maybe you could edit it and aditionally tell those who are not familiar with Lachesis which species/subspecies you bred here? regards Peter

| Thanks all!
About the size, we didn't measure them to not disturb them. I have weighed them. They are between 63grs and 71 grs.

| Remi, as a "senior" member of Venomland, i would like to congratulate you on having just joined a club of specialist that i can count on barely two hands, to not only have manage to keep a Lachesis specimen alive in captivity but also to reproduce it, very few will know this pleasure.
* Eight for eight the first time out , you are without flaws , well now i wait for reproductive news from your other " seldom seen arboreal specimen" to see if you are really good or just got lucky .

| Joel, what have you been hiding under a rock, son ! go to Venomlands index section and check under Lachesis , but you are almost correct, i would not say ever but outside The United States of America's or even some International Zoological Societies, a private keeper anywhere in the world has a very slim chance to maintain these specimen's...they are damn difficult !
Remi, earned a nice payday ......

| Albert, arboreal snakes are not my favorite, but why not one day. Joel, Andreas Hohmeister (a german breeder) has bred Lachesis stenophrys many years (and probably still). That's a beautiful species too. Michele, yes they are kept separately. We have only put them together few days in january after a drop of temperature. That's the way we use successfully for several Bothrops too. Rémi | |
