C.atrox not feeding

Hi everyone
Hopefully you guys can help, I have a baby C.atrox which does not want to eat. She has only eaten once in my care, about a month and a half ago, and she still drinks water. At the moment she is in a plastic tub with papertowel as a substrate, hot side about 29-32 and cold side about 24-26 degrees celsius. I have tried live, dead, small, big and "brained" pinky mice but she doesn't take.
Any advice will be much appreciated Smile

I have a female atrox she will only feed when theres no one in the room. Try putting a warm mouse at the snakes hide entrance at night then leave untill morning hopefully your snakes eats. Mine used to eat no problem atall when i was there but then became fussy so now i leave the rat in over night amd it's always gone by morning. My fingers are crossed for you mate

Might be coming up for shedding also my atrox always goes off food weeks before she sheds

It is a matter of fact, that many young rattlesnakes primarily prey on lizards in the wild, but feed on rodents, when once grown up. Although "normal" pinkies usually are smoothly accepted by most newborn rattlers in captivity, I've made good results, offering few days old Multimammate Mice (genus Mastomys), as some of the youngsters seem to prefer mice with a fur.
And don't forget how stressfull keeping in sterile boxes may be to a snake. Leave her a nice little hiding place and some substrate to hide in - and of course, leave her alone.

I know of a place that has some multimammate mice for sale, I will go and pick up some pinkies for her and see how it goes.
