| yes both are going on prekilled mice
I'm feeding all of my snakes in plasik boxes to avoid a conflict, but the aspera male has to be fed in his terrarium otherwise he denies the food

| it's a little bit diffucult, because they are not very popular in austria and lots of them arent as well coloured as mine, but after I got my pair, I have seen some of them on the Exotica...
But other subspecies are more common, so you realy often see C. carinata paulsoni...
If you are intrested: http://www.pythons-boas.de/ Reinhold Maugg somtimes got some, or you have to search the web for breeders (there are some, but not many)
My pair should be old enough to breed, but I'm not sure. If they breed I'll post it here for sure ;-)
cheers Markus | |

| No, I never bred my pair. I think my female was too young to be bred.
But try reading http://www.kingsnake.com/candoia/book.html http://www.kingsnake.com/candoia/ The author, Jerry Conway, is also very helpfull, if you e-mail him.
I got mine from Reinhold Maugg. He sometimes have red specimens for sale. I find him a bit expensive though. | |

| Hi Markus, we breed C.asper for the two last consecutive years. well, we do have our trouble with getting them started. as we dont force-feed our snakes (with all this babies it would be quite difficult for us), i have experienced that almost around 50% would never eat and die, the others will start on pinkie mice and do well. if they are started, they are not difficult at all. the small rackers are just nasty (all of them) and they have as babies already an nasty bite. i am always surprised how fast they can strike. (got me always). klick HERE if you want for more informations cheers Mario | |
