| I just thought that I should show you some of my animals. Here is the "Russian pitvipers". I keep 2.2 today, the males was born in 2005, and the ladies in 2007. Captiveborn animals, of course, and all animals are from Lake Balkhash, Kazakhstan. All are in hibernation at this moment.. Both males: One of the males: The other male: One of the females: And the two males again: | |

| Hi out there,
I also love these smallgrowing eurasian pitvipers and keep several of them. If everything workes as it should do, I will be able to offer offspring of Gloydius blomhoffi siniticus, G. brevicaudus, G. halys caraganus, and G. intermedius (saxatilis) again next year.
Regards
Peter | |

| Hi Miqe,
I keep 2.4 of them. Two pairs are from Lake Balkhash, like yours are. The other two females are from Kazakhstan too, but without any informations about the exact locality.
Regards
Peter

| Hello,
I have a group from Almaty in Kasachstan. They bred for the first time this year. They are bright orange with reduced pattern. All of the babies were patterned with pale pink to pale orange colour in the beginning, now as they are changing colour, all are getting more colourful (red, orange or pink), it looks like only those that were boldly patterned in the beginning keep their pattern. The babies made problems in the beginning but all problems were gone as soon as they started to eat by themselves. From then they were just a pleasure, like the adults.

Rainer Hello Rainer!! I hope that you are all fine. Do you have any pictures. It would be nice to see if there is any differences, I don´t think so, but still.. Mine was also pale pink with orange at first, but later they became more yellow with orange. How many do you keep? | |

| Hello Miqe, my G. h. caraganus are an adult male that I got as an adult in 2005, looking like he does now and a 2007 cb female that had her first litter this year. She was dirty-yellow as a baby with faint pattern, then became yellow and later more and more orange. She is the lighter-coloured one on the foto of the pair. Additionally I have 2,2 younger ones that should be ready for breeding in 2011. First the adult male Second together with the female Their babies after their first shed Some of them when they had started to change their colour Father of my adult female | |
