Dear Venomland Members and Friends, Venomland is a little more than 6 years old now and by far the biggest Hot Snake community on the Planet! We want to thank all of you who made Venomland the leading Board. We are also very thankful to our Moderators and Admins for years of hard work. Now, it is time to move on. I have been thinking how to proceed and what to do with our beloved board as we reach a size, that we need to make drastic changes to secure the future of our community. As of now, Venomland is hosted by a free (well mostly free) hosting service. That was good for the first years but now we need to find a new way to run our forum. I have spend hundreds of Dollars over the years to keep Venomland up and running, and i have done so with pleasure. Now, we need your help! We need to come up with several thousand dollars for our Venomland 2.0 project, which i frankly cant pay for any longer by myself. So Venomland is asking his Friends and Members for the first time for their financial Support. Please help to keep Venomland alive, and let us move on to a new, better Portal in the Future! Every Dollar is helping us a great deal. I know, its hard times for everyone, but please spare a few Dollar for our community. If you have only 10 Dollars to spare, we are grateful, if it is more, it would be awesome. We are planning to develop a very new Venomland, with real community functions, a forum like you are already loving it and a real (online) Hot Snake Magazin. Also, there will be download areas for scientific papers, Wallpapers and more. Again folks, we can only do that if you all help. Please send me a Private Message if you want to keep Venomland alive, i will provide you with the details on how to donate Money. For now, we can accept money from creditcards via skrill (please google it, its a free service - account-details will be forwarded to you) and paypal. All the best, and for a (hopefully) nice future of our Board. Mario

Hi Everybody,

A few of you I know and many I dont. Some might know me from the sareptiles.co.za forums as 'Pythonodipsas'. I have been keeping snakes since 1983 and its become a terminal disease and its gotten worse over the years. I just love it. I have a wide interest in many snake families especially venomous. My collection is not too big like some of the members here, because i dont have the time.

I have a big interest in Euro Vipers and starting to build a collection of these. I have a few other favorite taxa. These are the highlights in my collection:

1.1 Vipera raddei
1.1 Vipera wagneri
0.1 Vipera latastei gaditana
1.1 Macrovipera mauratanica
1.1 Macrovipera lebetina obtusa
1.2 Daboia palestinae
1.1 Bitis worthingtoni
0.3.1 Bitis peringuey
1.1 Atheris nitschei
1.1 Cryptelytrops venustus
0.1 Trimeresurus trigonocephalus
1.1 Aspidelaps lubricus cowlesi
1.1 Naja annulifera (banded)
1.1 Naja annulifera
0.1 Naja melanoleuca (subfulva x melanoleuca)
1.1 Naja nigricincta
1.1 Naja pallidae
1.1 Naja nigricollis nigricollis
1.0 Hemechatus haemechatus (banded)
1.1 Dendraospis polylepis
1.1 Dendroaspis angusticeps
1.1 Thelotornis capensis

I also have a few semi/non venomous:

2.2 Lamprophis inornata
1.0 Pythonodipsas carinata
1.0 Ramphiophis (oxyrhynctus) rostratrus
1.1 Morelia bredlii

I think thats it. I breed what I can, when I can, and just love this hobby.

These forums look very excellent to me with lots of keepers of quality animals. I look forward to posting pictures of my animals when i can.

For now here are some pics. I hope its ok to post them here:

Great to see the next SA Member here, cool to have you guys here with us Cool
You're absolutely right on that, we really have some excellent privat and/or professional keepers here, and you're a great addition to that...

And as you probably know, it's not the quantity of animals that makes a great ''herper'', it's the quality of his animals and his knowledge and experience that makes a a good reptile keeper/breeder Very Happy

Cheers
Marco

Thank you Benjamin,

I love black mambas. I find them so misunderstood, intelligent and graceful. Soon, I will post pics of my black mambas for you.

By the way i'm sure you meant to say Dendroaspis 'polylepis'.

Cheers
