Dear Venomland Members and Friends, Venomland is a little more than 6 years old now and by far the biggest Hot Snake community on the Planet! We want to thank all of you who made Venomland the leading Board. We are also very thankful to our Moderators and Admins for years of hard work. Now, it is time to move on. I have been thinking how to proceed and what to do with our beloved board as we reach a size, that we need to make drastic changes to secure the future of our community. As of now, Venomland is hosted by a free (well mostly free) hosting service. That was good for the first years but now we need to find a new way to run our forum. I have spend hundreds of Dollars over the years to keep Venomland up and running, and i have done so with pleasure. Now, we need your help! We need to come up with several thousand dollars for our Venomland 2.0 project, which i frankly cant pay for any longer by myself. So Venomland is asking his Friends and Members for the first time for their financial Support. Please help to keep Venomland alive, and let us move on to a new, better Portal in the Future! Every Dollar is helping us a great deal. I know, its hard times for everyone, but please spare a few Dollar for our community. If you have only 10 Dollars to spare, we are grateful, if it is more, it would be awesome. We are planning to develop a very new Venomland, with real community functions, a forum like you are already loving it and a real (online) Hot Snake Magazin. Also, there will be download areas for scientific papers, Wallpapers and more. Again folks, we can only do that if you all help. Please send me a Private Message if you want to keep Venomland alive, i will provide you with the details on how to donate Money. Hi mates..
I have been reading this forum for some time now and decide to join in and say hello to all.
I'm quite sure some of you might know me from other forums and so on but I'll write something short about myself here.

So my name is Sami and I'm from Oulu which is a city in northern Finland. Yeap a long way from all the "herp" action..
I have been interested from reptiles and nature for all my life but I started to keep snakes and some lizards some point at 1990. The herp bug really bite me at 2001 and since I have been hooked on these amazing creatures..
I kept some nonvenomous snakes for start but quickly turn on the venomous. Thanks to this belongs to a good friend of mine who introduced that side of the hobby for me.
First "hot" was B. schlegelii and I still love the sp.

Mostly I keep arboreal vipers which are closest to my heart but there sure is alot of other snakes I'd like to try work with in future.
But ok here's the list:

1.1. A. squamigera
1.1. A. chlorechis
2.1. B. lateralis (one blue)
2.2. B. schlegelii + some babies
1.1. B. b. bilineata
1.1. B. nasicornis
1.1. C. hortulanus
0.1. E. c. cenchria
1.1. T. (Cryptelytrops) venusutus - Kanchanadit, Surat Thani
1.1. T. puniceus - Bengkulu, Sumatra + some babies
1.1. T. wagleri - Thailand, Narathiwat
1.1. R. boulengeri

All the snakes I keep are captive bred.
If someone is interested to see some photos of the snakes I'll try to post them somewhere here soon..

Aha! So it was you that didn't bring my B schlegelli then!!!! Very Happy You had arranged to bring them for Graeme Skinner? Two of them were for me..................
But yes it was a really nice show to be at, not an ordeal like Hamm

Hmm that's strange.. I would have been more than happy to bring some schlegeliis to you, but Greame didn't ask me to bring any of them to Houten... Very Happy Last e-mail I recieved from him was just an question "Are they still available????" I reply to him and I didn't hear from him after that.

BTW. I met Graeme at ibis hotel along with some other "dudes" and he is a really great guy.
