| I´ve been thinking of posting a thread about the snakes i keep at home for some time now and finally had the time to take some at least decent pictures to post here on venomland. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy them. I´ll start with my favorites, Bothriechis schlegelii Eyelash Vipers1.0 Got this supernice male from Jimmy Cederhag, never was any doubt when he asked if i wanted to buy him.... 1.0 Probably a male but im not sure... 0.1 My biggest female...completly yellow with only a few black dots. 0.1 Really bright lemon yellow female with white markings....i fall in love every time i see her. I have another adult pair, a male with nice red markings and a golden yellow female. Dont have any pics of them for the time thats worth posting here but i will make an update later with some more pics. Here are some Juveniles. I keep the adults in groups of 1.2 and 2.1 in these cages. 1.2 in this and 2.1 in this Thats all for now with the schleg´s but i will update with some more pics if the other ones. I also have a 2008 male Ovophis tonkinensis Tonkins viperSome Crotalus lepidus klauberi from Franklin Mnts, New Mexico And the latest little addon here at home, which actually belongs to a friend of mine Mikael Andersson here on venomland. He travels alot in work so they stay at my place for the time. Two very small Psuedocerastes persicus fieldii...and to keep the girlfriend from not going crazy with all the snakes i am kind enougt to lend here some space in the snake room for a trio of African pygme mice, Mus minutoides really cute and they have started to produce tiny pinkies...i wont be too surprised i some might disappear into the Psuedocerastes terraria Will post the rest of the snakes later, i also keep some ball pythons. If there are any intrest in seeing them i´ll take som pictures of them and post here otherwise i wont. | |

| Very nice snakes! Thanks for sharing, I ejoyed this thread ...
Cheers! Anze
PS. Oh, and I totally understand you with pygmy mice ... Eventhough my girlfriend likes venomous snakes (this year she will take some european vipers), I have to put up with cats. Not that I don't like the cats - I love them. But I really don't like running on the middle of the night on my bed and me etc etc :S

cheers, tom Hi Tom, the bigger cage with 1.2 is 120x120x60 cm and the smaller one is 80cm high and 60x60cm. I use a automatic spray system for the bigger one and run computerfans in both to get some extra circulation. The bigger cage also has a water part of approximatly 25L of water. If yout intrested i Will gladly show you some more pictures of that cage. Thanks for the nice comments

| Hi Tom, i've been busy getting some snakes ready to be sold and also starting new cages for new snakes so i havent found time to post pics of the terraria or answer your pm. The cage lighting condsists of 4 lighttubes, 2 dayglo tubes and 2 2.0 uv tubes. In the right corner i use 60w spotlight to get a nice temp gradient. 26-29 and at night it drops to around 24 degrees. I will try to find time to post the construction pictures during this weekend. | |
