| Here are some Crotes as well as a few other snakes from some of my outings this year... hope you enjoy. Crotalus molossus molossus - Northern blacktailed rattlesnake - Santa Cruz County, Arizona Crotalus lepidus klauberi - Banded rock rattlesnake - Cochise County, Arizona Crotalus cerastes cercobombus - Sonoran Desert sidewinder - Pima County, Arizona Crotalus helleri - Southern Pacific rattlesnake - Los Angeles County, California Crotalus atrox - Western diamondback rattlesnake - Riverside County, California Crotalus scutalatus - Mohave "Green" rattlesnake - Los Angeles County, California Okay, a few non hots, just for fun. Salvadora grahamiae grahamiae - Mountain patchnose snake - Santa Cruz County, Arizona Chionactis occipitalis occipitalis - Colorado Desert shovelnosed snake Phyllorhynchus decurtatus - Spotted leafnosed snake - Riverside County, California Earlier this year I had the privilege of working with an awesome little captive elapid as well... Aspidelaps lubricus - Coral Cobra And the makeshift "desert" I threw together real quick for the shoot. You can see how small she actually is because that's a normal deli cup lid leaned against the blue tub lid. Thanks for checking them out. I hope you enjoyed seeing them nearly as much as I've enjoyed being able to get out and work with them. | |

| Great shots.
Would never have guessed the Coral to be so small. Clever makeshift desert!

| Hi Mike Firstly those are stunning snakes! I just love the Crotalus molossus molossus those colors are incredible! Are you sure that the coral snake was an A. lubricus the color on that specimen doesn’t look like any lubricus I have seen before, even on juveniles/hatchlings. Could it not have been an A. infuscatus?

| Some good photography work, Mr. Spencer. Always great to see Crotalus specimens; particularly a fine- and alert- looking Crotalus atrox. Thank you for posting this. Sincerely, Jon Davidson . | |

| Bostjan, unfortunately all of my photo gear was stolen earlier this year, so I won't have any more to post for a bit, but I will have all new gear in time for spring so I will have a lot to post come next year including timbers and western pygmies.
Thanks a lot, Deon, but I have to say, you have some snakes I'd really love to work with in the wild over your way in SA...
Brendan, thanks man. I'll be going to AZ a couple times next year and I hope to move there before the monsoons next year.
Thanks Alexandru, I appreciate it.
Nigel, the "Mohave green" was high on my list, so I was definitely excited to cruise it after 7 straight nights and 3 DORS. haha. One of these days I hope to make it to your side of the world though.
Thanks, Ari. Patchnoses are great snakes to work with and they're pretty good in captivity as well, although they're almost strictly lizard eaters.
