Dear Venomland Members and Friends, Venomland is a little more than 6 years old now and by far the biggest Hot Snake community on the Planet! We want to thank all of you who made Venomland the leading Board. We are also very thankful to our Moderators and Admins for years of hard work. Now, it is time to move on. I have been thinking how to proceed and what to do with our beloved board as we reach a size, that we need to make drastic changes to secure the future of our community. As of now, Venomland is hosted by a free (well mostly free) hosting service. That was good for the first years but now we need to find a new way to run our forum. I have spend hundreds of Dollars over the years to keep Venomland up and running, and i have done so with pleasure. Now, we need your help! We need to come up with several thousand dollars for our Venomland 2.0 project, which i frankly cant pay for any longer by myself. So Venomland is asking his Friends and Members for the first time for their financial Support. Please help to keep Venomland alive, and let us move on to a new, better Portal in the Future! Every Dollar is helping us a great deal. I know, its hard times for everyone, but please spare a few Dollar for our community. If you have only 10 Dollars to spare, we are grateful, if it is more, it would be awesome. We are planning to develop a very new Venomland, with real community functions, a forum like you are already loving it and a real (online) Hot Snake Magazin. Also, there will be download areas for scientific papers, Wallpapers and more. Again folks, we can only do that if you all help. Please send me a Private Message if you want to keep Venomland alive, i will provide you with the details on how to donate Money. For now, we can accept money from creditcards via skrill (please google it, its a free service - account-details will be forwarded to you) and paypal. All the best, and for a (hopefully) nice future of our Board. Mario

Hey everyone! The reason that I wanted to join this site was because we have a beautiful Indonesian pit viper but unfortunately that is all we know about her. We got her because there is a very small pet store in our area that called us and asked us to take her in because they know us and how much we love our other animals, She was scheduled to be euthanized so we gratefully accepted her into our family. We can't seem to find any information online about her or even find pictures of any other snakes that have a very similar resemblance to her. We would be very grateful for any information reguarding her so we can care for her in the best way possible. When Sasha was young she was very small and she had big yellow eyes now that shes bigger her eyes have changed to blue.. She was about 11 inches long and we assume somebody bought her as an egg and we got her soon after she was born she was super aggressive when she was little and now she is growing to be a lot more tame and calm. We handle her often. Now she is 41 inches long and she has rainbow coloration in the light her belly is white with black spots, She has the pit sensory organs in front of her eyes. She's a climber and she really enjoys her terrarium humid and soft soil. I will upload pictures if anybody knows anything we would be very grateful!!!!! Thanks Smile

Looks like some sort of python to me. Maybe an Olive python, Liasis olivaceus.

It looks like a Liasis or a Spilota ( both Pythons )

Could be an Apodora Papuana ( also a Python )

I would like to see the heat pits, but the glass is kinda foggy

Anyway, get ready for a good sized beasty.....

I agree. Olive python is my guess, or Liasis species. It could be Savu Python but they are usualy darker also Apodora Papuana is usually darker. Not even close to Pit Viper. A better picture would help.

Welcome to Venomland. Regards, BKK

That's definitely a macklots python, not a savu python (they only get 3 feet max as adults sometimes larger ) your macklots python should hit about 6-8 foot.Anyways I suggest you hit moreliapythons.com you could also pm me for care on your pet.I looked at your pictures and saw the grey speckling and light head and would agree on macklots good luck.

Hi there
Without a doubt a Macklots Python. Liasis Mackloti. I have 6 of these and breed them most years. The babies are always very cheeky, but my adults are quite calm. They are beautiful snakes and really do well! Good luck with it!
Cheers
Gavin
