I love the pics and the snakes are fantastic. My favorite snake all time is ammodytes and i have a bunch my self.
I need some inspiration to cages setup for spring so feel free to post some cage pictures.

| Thanx Daniel ! These are some pics. of the ammodytes enclosure:   I use BIG rocks ! The one in the middle is weighting at least 15 kg. and covers 1/5 of the cage-floor. The grass you see is death but still attractive... It's a Carex species I got from the gardencenter. You will be surprised what some weed can do ! Also the substrate is important for me and a challenge every time. Just experiment with mixing different sands, gravel etc. till it looks naturally. Good luck ! Pascal. | |

| Hello Daniel, here are 2 photos from the Lake Skutari area. The one showing the lake is taken in the small area of the lake where mountains rise directly from the water. Big parts of the lake are bordered by swamps. The other photo shows typical V. ammod. habitat in that area. Both photos are not of good quality, they are scans from colour slides, almost 40 years old. Jean-Henri: Nice setup in your terrarium. These rocks would not fit into your setups, the animal that is almost in the center of the second photo is a cow.   | |
