| Cool snakes. Do you have a locality for your puniceus? Is that a female? Do you know the breeder? Or is this a WC specimen? What is it's age? And more importantly, would you be interested in parting with it?

| Thanks a lot for the response Marcel. I appreciate the additional info. If you happen to catch the breeder or otherwise find out if this is Sumatran or Javan, that'd be just fantastic Only schlegelii in trade? Oh boy... I gotta find some soon so we can get the ball rollin' I really, really badly want this one, as I'm sure you can imagine... Can't wait to see photos of your male as well. | |

Can't wait to see photos of your male as well. I know a other RED puniceus for sale in The Netherlands, 0.1. for 120,- she's from 2005. But I don't think the seller want to ship it to you. but Finland is a bit far I think by bicycle ? | |

| Sascha: Thank you for the response. May I ask how did you come to this conclusion? Marcel: Still no confirmation on the locality? Is the other red one related to yours? Is it as gorgeous as yours? Yeah man, bike is definitely out of the question for me So, what type of schlegelii would you want in a trade then? Color, sex, age etc.? If there's any other species that might do the trick, let me know | |

| Thanks for joining in Stefan, much appreciated Man, oh man! That would fit my breeding efforts better than I dreamt if those are Javan! Outstanding. Marcel, I'm going to need that male too, you know... I don't have any specimen like those two yet. Am I correct in assuming that the deepest red colors on your female are also made up of numerous tiny red dots? Instead of scales having solid red color throughout? | |

| well Christian you can assum that, but I really don't know what I mean is, I never have look at her that kind off way. I will take a closer look for you in daytime. what I really know for sure is that both of the puniceus are the most agrassive snakes in my collection by the way , Stefan Wennekes is the guy who is selling his red puniceus for 120,- (didn't know he was logged in on this site to ! ) | |

| That's ok, I was just curious about the appearance of the tiny dots. In some of my puniceus, when you look at them from afar, you see certain color - usually gray or pink - but up close you can see that it's not a solid color. You know, like in schlegelii for example, the whole scale is uniform yellow. In puniceus certain colors seem to be formed by numerous tiny dots. Yeah, I already talked to Stefan, but I was a little late regarding that puniceus. Which is also an absolute stunner by the way | |
