| today I finally did something I was planning for some time now - take some snakes outdoor and do some daylight photos. It is such a huge difference in colors! You can never get that in terrariums with tungsten and flo light no matter how hard you try. Today my wife was visiting a friend, my son was at grandmother, dogs and cats were in the yard.... all far away )... and I set up my "studio" in front of garage and as I was feeding the snakes and taking them out of cages anyway, after they feed and they were more calm I put them out and here are the results... Eventhough some of them just need to shed, like polistictus female, horridus female, for example, and some still did not shed after hibernation, like molossus.... I think the results are still rather spectacular. It makes me think about building outdoor cages ))) but my wife would kill me so I will stick to just taking some photos now and then. When the next feeding cames I will take "the big guns" out like nigrescens, adamanteus, culminatus... ) enjoy! | |

| Very nice animals you have there, that natural light just can't be beat in my opinion. Build your outdoor cages & get the wife involved in the landscaping, that might bring her around to your way of thinking-if that doesn't work buy her something-ha ha. All the best. | |

Sun or natural light does make a big difference.

| An outstanding collection of snakes, Mr. Vrbanic. Beautiful specimens, the Crotalus in particular- the horridus specifically(please excuse my personal bias). Thanks for posting this. Sincerely, Jon Davidson . | |

| Lovely collection, some beautiful snakes. For someone with a very limited knowledge on Rattlesnakes it would've been nice to see names for each pic Neven. Maybe next time | |

| Nigel, nigrescens can be from light brown to black and everything in between with more or less white markings. My adult male is rather dark with a lot of black and high in contrast. Marvelous animal but deffinatelly among toughest rattlers to handle! They are always hungry and they greed makes them came to you as soon as you oper terrarium and bite everything and anything that cames close.. | |
