Question to the forum

Due to the description of the forum one should not see postings of people from ones foo list (ignore list).
This worked until roughly a week ago but now I can see all his postings again.
The foo list is the last protection against "specialists for everything" and forum trolls who reply on each and every thread - and I use it very, very selectively.
Is there a possibility to put this to function again?

This is a great forum which is at risk of being clogged with inane chatter. Good luck in addressing it...

They have this problem on other forums too, and they're working on it (for more than one year now LOL).
Better than using a foe's list is having no members deserving to be put on.

Sometimes it's not in our hands ...
I don't want to deal with such people, who believe to always know anything better, always change topics in a wild way (never stuck to a topic of a thread), offend others whom they not even know and need to give their f***ing 2 cents to each and every topic.

I agree that Venomland is good forum. In my view, any initiative to preserve the high standard that the site originally set for itself is worth considering. Requiring that members use their real names is a step in the right direction. I've also wondered from time to time whether or not members should be required to pay a small 'membership fee' in order to post, while at the same time, allowing the forums to remain free and open for all other internet users. Also, a reference from another established Venomland member in order to join this site might be a thought worth considering. This might help curtail the endless banal platitudes and inflammatory remarks we've all come to know and expect from certain users. I don't have any easy answers to this question, but perhaps other the members and administration might...? Sincerely, Jon Davidson .

Venomland is an excellent forum and that’s largely thanks to the high standard of posting and friendliness of most of the folks on the forum. I have seen this problem with many other forums and eventually most of the knowledgeable members move on and stop posting. It would be very sad to see this happen here. Perhaps restricting members posting permission may be an answer if they continue to post rude or unconstructive posts?

i am grateful for the patience of the many colleagues- herpetologist and herpetoculturist, zoologists, and botanist who have anwsered the thousand questions that my limited formation as an first reptile , second botanist, and third some ornithology, enthusiast business owner of Zoobotanicals Corporation of thirty years has imposed.
