| Because André Weima is my mentor for keeping venomous snakes I'm quite often in this room It realy is great place to be and to look around, it never gets boring (learned there quite a lot!!) And all is there for savety and securety!!! He realy cares for his animals and if you would see his snakeroom in real live you will see its true. I have seen pics he took at other friends of him, but no snake room matched his. This room also is the result of keeping venomous snakes for over 25 years the cages on the 5th pic are especially for scorpions very nice snake collection to! Those Echis pyramidum sp. are so fast and swift in the low bushes you realy have to watch them 100% all the time just giving them fresh water. I also just love those Crotalus simus culminatus! - Deon Nell wrote:

I've I my be so bold to give a bit off an idea, its bild over time, and André made most of the cages himself. He is quite the guy to makes thing right to last for a life time, but thats all I can say about it.

| Thanks to you all who posted a reaction. I didn't expect so much compliments. I just wanted to show you how I keep my animals. I think it's important to give 'our' animals a good organized and clean room. Its better for them and also for the keeper. | |

| Wow, immaculate setup. I really love all the natural light and the clean uniform look. Extremely professional. This is what I'm trying to strive for. I'd love to hear more about the cages and construction and such. Very nice custom work you've done. I dont suppose you have any pictures of it while it was being built do you?
Thanks for sharing this, André. Most impressive!

| WOW!!! That is one fantastic snake room, you must be very proud of it Andre. Can I please ask, what species of viper is the first picture of your snakes?, also, you have written Microvipera instead of Montivipera in your species list. Cheers, Brian. | |

| Microvipera doesn't exist as genus name, as far as i know.
Macrovipera would be right, if you accept bulgardaghica as a valid species - some authors treat it as a synonym of Montivipera xanthina. regards Peter

| Thank you Hugo. I did some more work to complete the room. It's never finished. There is always something to do... I like the behavior off the Vipers. I don't keep any Crotalus at this moment. Here's a list off my Animals:
1.1 Bitis atropos (Pelgrims rest, South Africa) 2.1 Gloydius halys caraganus (stone-red and orange) 1.2 Vipera latastei gaditana (Tunesia) sub adult 2.2 Vipera latastei gaditana (Tunesia) CB 2011 1.1 Vipera latasti gaditana (Spain) CB 2011 1.1 Vipera latastei latastiei (CB 2007) 1.1 Vipera latastei latastei (CB 07-08-2011) 1.1 Vipera ammodytes meridionalis (CB 2009) Olymp 4.2 Vipera ammodytes meridionalis (CB 2011) Olymp 1.1 Vipera ammodytes ammodytes (CB 2010) Ada-Island 1.1 Vipera ammodytes ammodyted (CB 2010) Nova Mesto 2.2 Pseudocerastes fieldi (Own breeding 2006) 2.2 Echis coloratus coloratus (Egypt) 2.1 Proatheris superciliaris 1.1 Echis occelatus (Togo) 1.1 Agkistrodon contortrix pictigaster (CB 2011) 1.1 Crotalus oreganus lutosus (CB 2011)
