| I've been on the forum for a while now and thought its time I make a small introduction and post some pics of my snakes at the same time. My name is Wade Kilian, I'm from Pretoria, South Africa and this is my 11th year of keeping snakes. My favourite genus' of snakes are Protobothrops followed by Bitis and Naja. I keep a few other snakes, including the following Crotalus sp.: 1.1 Crotalus durissus durissus 1.0 Crotalus atrox 0.1 Crotalus (durissus?) vegrandis Thanks for looking Regards Wade | |

| Thanks guys! Michiel, I think I'll take your advice, haha the lack of exotic anti-venom here in SA together with the potent nature of Crotalus venom (especially these), ensures that a bite from one of these would not be fun at all. So complacency around them is not an option. | |

| That's true, you have to be careful. If you need antibodies F(ba)2 against the bite don't hesitate to ask, I have a stock of antidotes of many species. I'll show you the collect of some crotalus. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] | |

| Yes it´s a Crotalus basiliscus and this color is actually kind of weird in the nature but once in a while you may find this kind of different colors in the nature. Actually the Crotalus basiliscus has a huge variety of different colorations, mostly depending on the region it is from., if you want later i can show you the same snake now bigger, 1.80m I´ve been having it for a while now. I´d also found some individuals of about 2.20m of longitude. Well anyways here are some photos of the collect of this snake. " /> " /> " /> " /> | |

| Hey Michie, I'm sorry I didn't answer your question, I went to the south of Mexico and just came back,. Just once I bred it and she had about23 pups, but not a single came out like its father color,. I'm thinking about cross one daughter and try to get that color with her pups that only presents in male species I've never had seen a female with that color. Here is a picture of its birth,. This photo that I'm sending is a Crotalus sp made from one piece it's located on the National Museum of Antropology in Mexico City. It's around 900 years old and its made of stone " /> | |

| After wanting these for a while, I finally got myself a pair of Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnakes - Crotalus adamanteus. Their about 1.3-1.4m long. Female: Male: Another new arrival. Male Western Diamondback Rattlesnake - Crotalus atrox. Feeds like an absolute champ. I also picked up a decent sized male Timber Rattlesnake - Crotalus horridus recently so will try and post a few pics of him shortly. P.S I apologise for the size of the pics. Regards Wade | |
