Unfortunately not all snakes are wellkept like Daniel's. Some French stupids are misstreating their "pets"..
Little update: number one got out of it's eggshell, pics of the hatchling will follow later.

| Unfortunately only two of six came out... the others died in the eggs, more or less fully developped.
Hope the other two trials will work out better.

| First layer was moisty turf, above this a thick layer of gravel (size of grains 5mm) and third layer consisting of sand. The whole at about 27 degrees Celsius during the day, nights at about twenty (getting warmer with the upcoming summer, up to 24 degr.).
Reason unknown...maybe humidity should go down during the last 20 days... maybe temperatures should be higher. I don't know. I'm quite pissed off.
Thanks to the Lord for the two healthy babies. And lets pray for the other two trials.

| Thx Manfred, that is the third clutch I got, all different parents ... First clutch was 2 slugs with hydrocephalus , the second clutch last year looked good and hatched and survived a couple of month but both animals died within one week ... So I really hope those make it | |

| Hello Fabian and the other readers Have the same trouble like you: Two hatchlings insignitus, but deformation of body / eyes. Lost two clutches, reason unknown. Now I still have one clutch of Monspessulanus, that looks fine..... Friend of mine had a clutch of 4 eggs; 4 babies in good condition that feed well on geckos. He used the same method of incubation as I did (28 degrees, on coconut peat) - but results totally different. After last years succes with the monspessulanus I thought to be on the right way, but now I'm unsure as I was at the beginning.. | |
