Dear Venomland Members and Friends, Venomland is a little more than 6 years old now and by far the biggest Hot Snake community on the Planet! We want to thank all of you who made Venomland the leading Board. We are also very thankful to our Moderators and Admins for years of hard work. Now, it is time to move on. I have been thinking how to proceed and what to do with our beloved board as we reach a size, that we need to make drastic changes to secure the future of our community. As of now, Venomland is hosted by a free (well mostly free) hosting service. That was good for the first years but now we need to find a new way to run our forum. I have spend hundreds of Dollars over the years to keep Venomland up and running, and i have done so with pleasure. Now, we need your help! We need to come up with several thousand dollars for our Venomland 2.0 project, which i frankly cant pay for any longer by myself. So Venomland is asking his Friends and Members for the first time for their financial Support. Please help to keep Venomland alive, and let us move on to a new, better Portal in the Future! Every Dollar is helping us a great deal. I know, its hard times for everyone, but please spare a few Dollar for our community. If you have only 10 Dollars to spare, we are grateful, if it is more, it would be awesome. We are planning to develop a very new Venomland, with real community functions, a forum like you are already loving it and a real (online) Hot Snake Magazin. Also, there will be download areas for scientific papers, Wallpapers and more. Again folks, we can only do that if you all help. Please send me a Private Message if you want to keep Venomland alive, i will provide you with the details on how to donate Money. For now, we can accept money from creditcards via skrill (please google it, its a free service - account-details will be forwarded to you) and paypal. All the best, and for a (hopefully) nice future of our Board. Mario

Yes Daniel,
I mean in major the location Information! Because, Craspedocephalus ( T.) puniceus has a wide distribution in Indonesia, and me personaly knows only the two differend locations of Sumatra and Java. So, when there are some more Island Populations, it will be very intresting for me to know that. In case of your - we don´t know that. Specialy the female looks very nice, it looks, that the coloration fades more and more when the grow up. I keep some, but not this nice color.
I think you are right, that information over some animals is not so much distributed in Indonesia. But I have sean withe a smile, that yours are Cb and not Wc snakes. So there must be a smal comunity that breeds with them!? Or you?

Nice pair. Especially the female is a killer for sure.
I'd also love to know more about the locality. As well as about the opportunity to get a female like that... Wink

All the best.

Yes Daniel,
thats a fact in puniceus. The start sometimes as ,,ugly´´ little worms and than after some months, the becomes more and more color. Your female is a real stunner, not only I´m will be lucky to own such a female for our breeding groups.
Actually I have a bunch of offsprings from 2011 and some are realy nice, the breeding female is gravied again, so I´m waiting position for the next ones.
Hard to give some of them away, but I can´t keep all to se them grow up...

Hope you can find a perect male that makes a lot of exelent babys!

Hello Daniel,
I my one the has stopped ,,colorchangeing´´ after the was mature. Mabye this proces will end with around 40-50 cm, mabye earlyer. My adults, lenght between 60-100cm don´t change there coloration. One female is yello, the male typical speckled, and the biggest female in a reddish blotched coloration. The juveniles from 2011, now around 20-25 cm, are still in progress, but not like, the yelloish started one turn to red or so on. The becomes more and morer bightnes. A pale yelloish started female goes more and more to real yello, and a brownish started female is now a little bit more reddish... I observe, that colorchanging is more prominent in females than in males. The males keep more there ,,birth coloration´´
For me , last year it was the first time to breed this species, so that I don´t realise this when they was born. Now, the next clutch is coming and I will shot some more pictures from them and will docoment it a little bit. Hope this offsprings will doe this again.

Good luck with your group!
